This miniature
electromagnetic current meter provides the user with a maximum in flexibility.
Small in size, the Compact EM records 2D current data virtually anywhere:
in shallow waters, rivers, or confined spaces. This current meter has
no fragile moving part and its Titanium housing will withstand even
the toughest handling. This makes the instrument suitable for operation
in rough conditions, or for deployment with ROVs.
The Compact EM records data in a two-megabyte Flash RAM which stores
up to 179178 data sets of 2D velocity, instrument orientation, temperature
and battery status.
Through Win98/Me/2000/XP software, the instrument can be programmed
with a large variety of sampling strategies (such as interval sampling,
burst sampling or burst averaged sampling) and data can be easily transferred
to a PC.
