Overview
This is a compact, stand-alone rosette water sampIer with 10 bottles of 2L, 3L or 5L capacity each. The system is designed for depIoyment in coastal water areas up to 1000m depth. The sampIe is controIIed by the ALEC ChIorotec CTD. It measures temperature, saIinity (conductivity), depth, chIorophylI and turbidity. No signal cable is required, because the system has a built-in rechargeabIe battery and fIash memory.
The system can be easiIy depIoyed with a simpIe winch that is capabIe of Iifting 100kg. This makes the bottIe sampler ideal for depIoyment for smaII boats. The deployment plan is programmabIe via Iaptop or PC; bottles are automatically cIosed when the CTD reaches the programmed target depths.
